DR. SUBRAMANIAN SWAMY : Sir, I hope, I have your permission.
MR. SPEAKER: What is your point of order?
DR. SUBRAMANIAN SWAMY : My point of order is that when the debate was in
progress on the Motion of Confidence, I had read out certain news items and in
the course of it, I said that I had given those papers to the
Secretary-General's Office at 10.30 a.m. that day. Unfortunately, the Officers
of the Secretariat on the floor, here at the Table, said that they had not
received those papers. A series of allegations were made against me that I have
told a lie. Subsequently, Mr. Speaker, Sir, I stand by it and I request you for
the sake of my reputation to correct the record.
MR. SPEAKER: It is a fact that your letter, along with the documents, was
received in my Office. I say this just to put the record straight. I hope, this
satisfies you.
DR. SUBRAMANIAN SWAMY : Thank you very much. ... (Interruptions)
